Did you know that a box of Harris Teeter butter offers a great recipe for chocolate chip cookies? It’s amazing what’s out there if you just look. Who knew that of all the chocolate chip cookie recipes, this one would provide such a soft, rich and chewy outcome. It’s also a basic recipe so you can add and experiment to your heart’s delight. I added pecans, dark chocolate ghirardelli chips, cinnamon and a dash of all spice.

Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup regular sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp all spice
1 package ghirardelli dark chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 and line cookie sheet with parchment paper
1. Cream together butter, both sugars and vanilla in large bowl. Add eggs and beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until well combined. Add 1 tsp cinnamon and mix.
2. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, salt and remaining 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and all spice, and mix.
3. Add flour mixture to butter mixture and combine until batter forms. Using ruber spatula fold in pecans and chocolate chips.
4. Using a regular spoon scoop out cookie dough onto cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Voila!
