My parents are the king and queen of throwing parties. Growing up we always were celebrating something. Our Hannukkah party was the party of the year for our family; celebrating every year for 24 years! In helping my mom cook and prepare for a party with usually 60-80 people in attendance, I like to think I’ve learned a thing or two about how to prepare for a party. And this case our Christmakah party had about 20 people at it’s peak. Speaking subjectively of course, I think it went off without a hitch!
The menu (with recipes to come) clockwise from the bottom:
– Fruit
– Gingerbread cookies
(pinecones for decoration)
– White chocolate covered preztels
– Latkes with apple sauce (dad would be proud of my frying skills)
– Two types of cheese and crackers
– Mom’s artichoke dip (should’ve doubled the recipe, people loved it)
– Veggies
– Red velvet cheesecake
Voila! Stay tuned for the recipes!
It was lovely! And I think I tasted everything except the cheesecake and the pine cones. The cookies were spectacular!
Thanks Kate! Compliments from you mean a lot! See you Wednesday
i’m so glad to see the “party gene” being passed down!!
